A study of the morphology, physiology, taxonomy, ecology, and economic importance of insects. Underlying themes will include the aesthetics, diversity, complexity and success of insects as a group. Three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory per week. Field trips are required. Prerequisite:BIO* 121 or equivalent
