An introduction into polymer materials to include the fundamental concepts of molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, viscosity and polymerization. Topics will include all of the major classes of thermoplastic materials, additive systems, and address both material properties and their applications. Prerequisite:MAT* 137 and CHE* 121
